Little tools. Big skills. Little moments.
Inspired by Montessori principles, The Little Method was created to give children a meaningful place in the kitchen — with real tools sized for little hands and simple recipes designed for them to take part.
It started at our kitchen bench
The Little Method was born on the Gold Coast, Australia, at our family kitchen bench.
I wanted my daughter to be part of cooking with me — not watching from the side, but genuinely helping.
I saw how proud and capable she felt when she was trusted with real little jobs. But I found myself piecing everything together: adult tools that were too big, children’s kitchen products that often felt like toys, and recipes that weren’t designed around what little hands could actually do.
I wanted something simpler and more thoughtful.
So I created The Little Method — real cooking tools and recipes designed to help children learn through doing.

Made for real family life
We’re not here for picture-perfect kitchens or perfectly adventurous eaters.
We’re here for flour on the bench. Serious little faces concentrating on pouring. A first taste of something new. And the proud “I did it!” at the end.
Our hope is to make it easier for families to slow down, cook together and turn an everyday task into an opportunity to learn, connect and grow.
Because sometimes the smallest moments teach the biggest skills.
-
Learn by Doing
Children build confidence through real experiences. We create opportunities for little hands to measure, mix, chop and discover what they can do.
-
Explore Real Food
Cooking gives children a gentle, hands-on way to discover new ingredients — touching, smelling, preparing and tasting at their own pace.
-
Moments Together
The kitchen is a place to slow down, connect and learn side by side. We make everyday cooking easier to share with little ones.
